About

The Practical Approach to Care Kit – PACK – is used by healthcare workers and community health workers in their everyday work to care for patients at the clinic and in the community – PACK Adult, PACK Adolescent, PACK Child and PACK Community.

CoronaWise is designed for people seeking more information about how to care for their own health and that of their family at home and forms part of the PACK suite of tools. It can also be used by nurses and doctors at all levels of care as well as community health workers to provide easy-to-read, policy-aligned and standardised information to their patients.

The Department of Health has prioritised publishing COVID-19 related content to support people to cope with the coronavirus outbreak in Volumes 1 and 2. This is followed by  volumes that provide key health information and well-being advice about common chronic conditions, pregnancy and newborn care, child health, adolescent health, and adult health, as well as providing palliative care at home.

PACK Home is available in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa, isiZulu and SeSotho.
